DropZipper

dropzipper.com follows a standard procedure of using log files.

These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and date and time stamp. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site and gathering demographic information.

DropZipper (the "application") neither reads, nor stores any of the user's data or files without the user's explicit consent. When opening a folder in the application using the "Open" button, or by dropping files or folders ("items") into the application's window for the first time, the application will ask for the user's permission to read the selected item's contents.

This is due to the application running in a secure sandbox within macOS, where applications cannot freely read, nor write, or otherwise analyze the user's storage.

By granting the application access to a folder, the user allows the application to read and temporarily store the item's contents in order to compress or bundle it. This is done entirely offline, without requiring an active internet connection.
